At Plumpton oakhurst Soccer Club, soccer is more than a game—it’s how we bring our community together. Whether in junior programs or competitive leagues, there is a place for everyone. We provide a safe, inclusive environment where players of all ages can develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy the game.
Our History, The birth of a community hub
The story of Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club is deeply intertwined with the growth and development of Sydney’s outer West. Well into the mid-20th century, the land that now makes up Oakhurst was primarily zoned for rural poultry and vegetable farming. However, when the NSW State Government rezoned the area for residential use in 1981, land developer Landcom began transforming the rural landscape into a thriving, family-friendly residential community.
As hundreds of new families moved into the area, a collective desire emerged to establish local sporting outlets for children and young families. Recognizing the need for a community-based sports organization, local volunteers and passionate football advocates worked together to establish the club. Formally incorporated in November 1999, Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club was founded to serve the rising population of the local suburbs, establishing Hanna Reserve on Hyatts Road as our dedicated home ground.
A Proud Legacy in the BDSFA
From our very first season, Plumpton Oakhurst proudly aligned itself with the Blacktown & Districts Soccer Football Association (BDSFA). Originally formed in 1978 with just 10 inaugural clubs, the BDSFA has grown to become the heartland of grassroots football in Western Sydney.
Over the decades, our club has welcomed generations of local players of all age groups and skill levels. We have established a reputation as a fierce but fair competitor in the local leagues, focusing heavily on youth development. The club’s proudest grassroots moments include seeing young junior players progress through our ranks, with some eventually going on to represent the district and higher divisions at elite levels.
Built by Volunteers, Sustained by Family
A football club is only as strong as the people behind the scenes. For more than two decades, Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club has been run entirely by dedicated parent volunteers, local coaches, and a passionate committee.
From early morning field setups at Hanna Reserve to club fundraisers, meat raffles, and community events, it is the tireless work of our local volunteers that keeps the spirit of the "Eagles" flying high.
Today, we continue to carry forward the exact same vision our founders had in 1999: to provide a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where soccer brings our local community together.

Welcome to the home of the Plumpton Oakhurst Eagles! We play and train at Hanna Reserve, a fantastic community hub located on Hyatts Road in Oakhurst. Whether it is a busy Saturday game day or a mid-week training night, our facilities are designed to support players of all ages, their families, and our local supporters.
The Playing Fields
Hanna Reserve is equipped to cater to every division of our club, from our youngest junior flyers to our senior squads:
The Main Pitches (Fields 1 & 2): Our full-sized, high-quality grass fields are set up for our competitive youth and senior matches.
The Junior Mini-Fields: Specifically set up for our MiniRoos and small-sided games. These modified pitches offer our younger players the perfect space to build confidence, run hard, and develop their skills.
On-Site Amenities & Features
We pride ourselves on offering a safe, fully equipped space where families can comfortably spend their Saturdays. Our ground features:
The Club Canteen: The heart of our match-day operations! Swing by for hot food, cold drinks, and fresh coffee.
Amenities Block: Secure change rooms, player facilities, and public toilets are open during all club training times and game-day events.
Playground & Recreation: Hanna Reserve features an on-site kids' playground, basketball court, and walking tracks—perfect for keeping siblings entertained during match times.
Ample Parking: Easy parking access is available directly off Hyatts Road with convenient paths to the playing fields.

At Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club, we might not be the biggest club in the league, but we believe our size is our greatest strength. With just over 100 members, we aren’t just a club—we are a family. Here, nobody is just a number on a spreadsheet; every single player, parent, coach, and supporter is a vital part of our community.
Our members represent the very best of our local area, spanning generations of soccer lovers. On any given Saturday, you’ll find our youngest Under-5 flyers (starting at just 4 years old) taking their very first kicks on the mini-fields, sharing the park with our senior players (all the way up to 55 years young!) who still play with the exact same passion. We are incredibly proud to bridge these generations under the sky blue and dark blue colors.

Becoming a Game Leader at Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club is a fantastic way to support our junior players from U6 to U12 while earning some extra pocket money. Small-sided games come with unique pitch sizes, rules, and fast-paced action, and having a confident leader on the field makes all the difference. By keeping the game flowing, helping young players orient themselves, and ensuring a fair, positive environment, you play a key role in making weekend match days enjoyable for everyone.
