Shaun was a junior player for Blackett Soccer Club.  He wasn’t the greatest player but he did his utmost to play and learn.  He was there for the enjoyment of the game.  Shaun passed away while a member of the club. He was on his way home from a soccer game.  His parents donated the original trophy for this award.This award will be presented to a male player who, like Shaun, may not necessarily be the best player but has commitment to their team, enjoyment of the game, willingness to listen and learn, and continued years of loyalty to the club.

Peter Moore , along with John Lee and Richard Tyszkiewcz, started up the Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club in 1997.  This was after the Association was going to close down the local Blackett Club as it was unfinancial.  Peter had been affiliated with the Blackett club.  Peter, John and Richard got together and decided to give Blackett a new name and bring the club up-to-date.  They came up with a business plan and presented it to the Association to prevent the club from closing entirely. Hence Plumpton Oakhurst was formed. They borrowed money from the Association. Within 12 months they had paid back the money borrowed, including the debt owed by the former Blackett Club.  Peter was the founding Secretary of Plumpton Oakhurst and spent 3 years as Secretary. He then moved to Blacktown to coach representative teams. Peter passed away in 2001 of a brain tumor.

Noelene was a Life Member of the local Blackett Club.  She served on the Blackett Committee and did a lot for the club, year after year.  She was responsible for running the canteen.  Her daughter-in-law approached our club to honour her with a shield in her name.  The committee at the time suggested a coach of the year award and she agreed.
